Headquartered in Spilamberto (Modena) Sitma has three subsidiaries in France, USA and Japan and a worldwide network of more than 15 agents that guarantee an export share of more than 70%. Active in over 70 countries with over 8,000 systems installed worldwide, Sitma is a world leader in printed media, packaging and distribution systems.

Sitma began its business by manufacturing equipment for the packaging industry. Since that time, it has expanded its specialties within the graphic arts industry, supplying high quality systems dedicated to the newspaper, magazine, book and direct mail/fulfilment industries.

With an international team of more than 150 employees, Sitma offers to its customers engineering and manufacturing of dedicated solutions, technical support, installation and training, and after sales assistance.

Job Description:

The e-Logistic Product Manager holds a transversal task, has a key role for the entire corporate structure in regards to the assigned market sector of the e-logistic and reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Director.

The person we are looking for is a European citizen, fluently speaking English and a second European language. We consider knowledge of Italian Language as a preferential title. The Product Manager will be based in Spilamberto (MO) - Italy but should be available for frequent international trips.

The e-logistic Product Manager needs to know production processes and organizational needs typical of the market sector and will own the following activities:

  • Analyze and investigate market needs, understanding development trends.
  • Build, autonomously or in partnership with Sales Team or customers, different "Business Cases" that help for the investment decision, assessing the entire organizational needs, actual and future, and not just the proposed line technical specifications.
  • Set the benchmark for Sitma market positioning for the sector, knowing our competitors, our value proposition and our product portfolio.
  • Be a promoter and set the development lines required by the market, both in terms of technical innovation and market positioning, pushing for a continuous evolution of Sitma in the market.
  • Search for strategic partnerships to build a complete proposal for the reference sector, to present and evaluate together with upper management.
  • Support the Sales Team during the visits to the customers.
  • Support the "Marketing & Communication" function in the production and maintenance of all communication material (presentations, requests for participation in trade fairs and seminars, round tables, brochures, etc.) to strengthen Sitma proposal for the sector and help customers to understand the value of our solutions, and return for their investment.
  • Keep up to date in regards to the evolution of projects and negotiations, such as acquisition of prospects for the reference sector.
  • Validate, in coordination with upper management, choices for macro-technical development in new (to build) or installed products related to the reference industry.

Background and competences:

  • Ideally a graduate in engineering or with a strong and solid technical background with high curiosity and passion related to technical aspect and challenges. Coming from in-logistic field , ideally with experience in the strategic definition and implementation of sorting solutions and distribution for medium-sized logistics hubs.
  • Strong technical skills, structured approach to problem solving, ability to transform problems into opportunities. Personal dynamism, resilience, overall vision and collaborative leadership, ability to work in rapidly changing structures.
  • The Product Manager must have a proven vision capacity able to imagine and develop the product plan and the evolution of Sitma's presence in the sector within the company vision.
  • We are looking for a collaborative leader, able to easily create interpersonal relationships with head-collaborators-clients. Should have excellent communication capacity and should be able to set a "positive thinking" approach.
  • Change mind-set: able to implement, push and support cultural change in the company. Also able to think "out of the box" even in areas not traditionally inherent to its specific department.
